While we patiently wait – anticipating – the new “Good Kompany” album from Vokab Kompany in 2015.
Their last album “V.Sides : Kollabs and remixes” was released in 2012 but wasn’t actually new tunes. Just remixes and collaborations of older catalog material. Their last album VKCE – Vokab and Crush Effect was released in late 2012. Their single and music video for “Where’s my Delorean” came out on Dec 03 2013. So it’s been a year since their last official new song and two years from a new album. We are way over due for new tunes!
If you haven’t heard of Vokab Kompany before they are definitely a group to check out and add to your playlist. Vokab Kompany is a dual MC (emcee) vocal group from San Diego, California.
Front men Matt Burke, aka Burke Baby and Robbie Gallo, aka Rob Hurt and their “four piece band of awesome” offers concert goers with a unique blend of Hip-Hop and electronica music. But don’t try to slap a genre sticker on them just yet. Although they are more along the lines of Hip-hop and Rap They’ve created sounds that have an indie and dance vibe as well.
What ever you call them! Call them “Good Kompany”. This San Diego group has been gaining national attention over the past year. They have multiple sounds clips in local and national commercial TV Ads. The most notable Vokab Kompany & Crush Effect’s VKCE track “So Many Places” was featured on a STARZ video ad. See here
