One of the largest music product trade shows in the world is the NAMM Show at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) holds their annual trade show every year in Anaheim California in January and a smaller show in Nashville,TN in July.
On Day 2 of the NAMM Show 2015 Brian Ray, lead guitarist and bassist for Sir Paul McCartney’s band for the last decade and his own group The Bayonets, unveiled his new sweet black ’63 SG Signature Gibson guitar with added Bigsby B5 vibrato attached with the Vibramate V5 mounting kit at the Gibson Brands, Inc. showroom.
The Vibramate mounting kit is designed to mount a Bigsby Vibrato on most flat top guitars but can be installed on a variety of carved and arched top models as well. (See Vibramate for details) What makes this a great stride in design is the mounting kits can be quickly installed without any additional screw holes being drilled into the face of the guitar.
The design of the mounting kit also allows you to mix a variety of other options: Pickup type, tail piece, bridge, even left handed options. Typically in aluminium it also is available in gold.
During the unveiling Brian Ray also discussed the benefits to sound, look and feel for him while playing. Find out for yourself the innovative design of the Vibramate V5.. Go check out the Vibramate website for more information and technical specs for your guitar.
