Let’s not miss out on hearing some great live tunes by a couple Grammy award winners, an electric guitar master, an emerging surfer songwriter and one of the most respected guitarists in country rock music all these and more will be in San Diego this weekend.
One third of the Grammy award winning and 2015 Grammy Nominated group NickelCreek will be at the Casbah this Thursday night – January 8. Finally finding time , Sean Watkins is out touring supporting his new solo album “All I do is lie”. Sean was on the road last year touring with his sister and Chris Thile of Nickel Creek as they celebrated their 25 year Anniversary together.
Albert Lee
Grammy Award winner and one of the most respected Guitarists in Country Rock music will be performing at Ramona Mainstage January 8, 2014. Albert Lee has over 53 years in the music business, touring with Eric Clapton, The Everly brothers, and a few others through the 70s and 80s. He is celebrating his 70th birthday with an album, documentary and a few concerts.
Josh Damigo
A college soccer injury turned out to be a good deal for Josh Damigo as the injury turned his focus to music. A local San Diego acoustic guitarist and singer songwriter will be playing at Lestat’s on Adams Avenue this Friday night. Lestat’s has been quoted as his favorite spot in San Diego to Hang out and play. Josh Damigo will also perform at NAMM on the Anaheim Marriott Stage with the Freeloaders.
Cody Lovaas
San Diego teen, Cody Lovaas is an AXS.com breakthrough artist to watch in 2015. Check out his breakthough nod here. Cody just released a new music video for his song “Take a Ride”. Cody will be bringing his good vibes to Carlsbad Village Theatre on January 10.
Also on Saturday January 10, 2015, if you loved the classic hits of Love Song, Signs and Modern day cowboy by Tesla? You will love Frank Hannon of Tesla’s solo work as well. The Frank Hannon Band will be performing at Ramona Mainstage this Saturday. Supporting Frank will be a local San Diego group Sledd.
